No-Yeast Carrot Buns

This super easy and simple recipe will be the extra addition to your weekend (or weekday) breakfasts. No yeast is needed in this recipe making it easy to make even on a short timespan. So for your next luxe breakfast, you’ve got a new recipe to try!

No-Yeast Carrot Buns 🥕

750 g Carrots
6-7 dl Flour
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp Salt
1 Clove of garlic
0,75 dl Oil

Additional:

Vegan butter (I used Violife’s Vioblock)

Making the buns:

  1. Boil the carrots until they’re soft. Drain and let the carrots cool for about 5 minutes. Mash the carrots with a potato masher until you’re left with a mushy carrot mix.
  2. In a separate bowl mix together 6 dl of the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. To the carrots, add the flour mixture and start kneading the dough. Add the rest of the ingredients to the mix everything together in the bowl.
  3. Continue kneading the dough on a floured surface for another 5 minutes until you’re left with a smooth dough ball that doesn’t easily stick to the surface (TIP! Add more flour while kneading if needed!)
  4. Divide the dough into 16 even pieces. Roll each piece to a ball and place on a baking sheet. Bake the buns at 225 C for 10-15 minutes until the bottom of the buns have turned light brown.
  5. Serve warm with vegan butter and ENJOY 🧡
